As a Mimic
Lohit Kumar, hails from a village situated in the midst of nature where he grew up listening to the songs of the earth. The whistling winds and the chirping birds taught him the first lessons of sounds and imitations. From an young age he had the aptitude to emote sounds that he used to hear with keen observation. This attribute nurtured the mimic in him which in later days he took it up seriously to develop as a professional Mimicry artiste.
From the age of 13 he has started to perform full fledged shows at school and district level who later on represented the the Indian artistry across the boarders thus performing more than 7000 shows till date. Though he is a self taught artiste he humbly accepts DR. NERALLA VENU MADHAV as his inspiration and role model.
Lohit not only won first prizes at state level and rolling shields for his university, (Kakatiya University), where he studied, he also used his talents and skills of Mimicry and Ventriloquism for the greater good in aid of medical and health organisations, social welfare department, family welfare, youth welfare and social organisations while dissipating useful information to them.
On the other hand he took part in several fund raising initiatives and helped Maharashtra earth quake victims, Kurnool flood victims, tsunami victims, family planning department Karimnagar, eye donation camps for lions club , physically challenged by rotary club.
His never stopped in clinching accolades and prizes and went on to bag honours at national level by way of many awards and appreciations by the prime minister of India, chief ministers, governor’s, cabinet ministers & many.
He also holds Limca book of records in the year 1992 under “FASTEST MIMICRY”, the same has been published in the year 1994 and also has been recognised by Telugu book of records.
